rogers [dot] com Meri Squares is an Ottawa-based Modern Square Dance Club. The club is a member of the Eastern Ontario Square and Round Dance Association.
Meri Squares offers lessons in Basic and Mainstream Square Dancing as well as dancing opportunities at the Basic, Mainstream and Plus levels for experienced square dancers.
Tuesday, September 6 and Tuesday September 13 are Club Open Houses. There will be no charge for anyone wishing to attend.
Couples, families and singles are welcome.
Basic and Mainstream Square Dance lessons are taught on Tuesday evenings between 7:30 and 10 pm by Callers Wendy VanderMeullen (Basic) and John Charman (Mainstream). Lessons for 2011/12 begin on September 6.
Lessons are taught at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 470 Roosevelt Ave in Ottawa's Westboro district.
Dancing for experienced Plus dancers takes place on Thursday evenings from 7:30 - 9:30 beginning on Thursday September 8. John Charman is the Caller.
