My name is Jennifer and I am the founder and photographer for Resonate Photography. A few years ago I started thinking about a photo project that I wanted to get off the ground. In 2013 I am determined to complete it!
I don't want to go into TOO much detail, and am not sure where to advertise this, but I am looking for dancers. Maybe you are an individual, or maybe you are a part of a dance group. You could have a background in ballet, jazz or tap, you might be a b-boy, belly dancer or native hoop dancer. I am looking for it all! I also want to note that you don't need to be an expert at it...I want to capture the movements that the various styles we shoot!

Aerial Silks (also known as aerial ribbons or tissues) and Aerial Hoop are styles of dance where an artist performs acrobatic tricks while hanging in the air. With the continued success of Cirque du Soleil, Aerial Arts are becoming more popular than ever! Raw strength, flexibility and grace combined with jaw-dropping stunts (such as free-falls) are enough to keep an audience on the edge of their seats.

Now, KaliAndrews Dance Company is offering students of all ages and skill levels the opportunity to explore their artistic sides in the air. Their modern facility and professional rigging 20-feet off the ground provide students with a genuine circus environment. Just this fall, the studio proudly hosted Montreal’s National Circus School during its Canadian Pre-Selection Tour.

KaliAndrews Dance Company offers Ottawa a unique twist from the usual styles of dance, in the form of Acrobatics and Circus Arts. Our studio is the first in Ottawa to specialize in this mind-blowing circus-style dance.

Acrobatic Dance, as both an athletic sport and a performing art, has exploded in popularity over the last 10 years. It offers a dazzling array of unique skills and personalities to the audience.
